1:00pm to 3:00pm

The Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) program is adding a specialty certification in Precision Agriculture that is scheduled to be available in 2018. Specialty certifications are available to current CCAs in good standing that pass the Specialty Exam and maintain the Continuing Education required for the Specialty. The overall process for the Precision Agriculture Specialty Exam is just beginning and the workshop will focus on gathering information from industry experts as well as provide an opportunity for participants to be involved in defining the basis for this Specialty and the exam.  This will be accomplished through a facilitated discussion to identify the base of knowledge a CCA should have to be designated as a Precision Agriculture Specialist.  The workshop conversation will center around exploring ideas and reaching consensus on the Performance Objectives (or state of the practice), which will subsequently be used by the exam committee to write the exam.
