Mike is a graduate from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and is a designated PHR/SHRM-CP with 12 years of service in human resource roles, 10 of those in agriculturally focused HR and recruiting pursuits. Mike has also previously served on the board for ACES (Agricultural Cooperative Employment Services) supporting 23 member cooperatives in the Midwest.
Mike is President for his local SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) chapter, treasury board member for his local YMCA, board member for Love Takes Root, a non-profit Haiti charitable organization and a board of elders for his local church. From Northwest Iowa, he is an active participant in his family's row crop farming operation. Mike, his wife Katie, and three children, Jack, Karson, and Claire reside in Spencer Iowa on their family acreage.
