Monday Morning Tour - America's Central Port

In the morning we will be visiting America’s Central Port in Granite City, Illinois. Located just north of downtown St. Louis, Missouri, on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River, lies a 1,200-acre multi-modal business and industrial campus known as America’s Central Port. The Port is located at the heart of the United States’ transportation network and provides exceptional access to all three major freight transportation modes: river, rail, and road.
 
Created in 1959 by the State of Illinois, the Port is a special-purpose unit of local government whose mission is to develop multi-modal transportation, create business expansion opportunities, and facilitate and assist in job creation for the region.
 
On the tour, you’ll see:

The Madison Harbor to discuss barge operations, rail operations, view the Merchant’s Rail Bridge project and talk logistics of grain, fertilizer movement and more!

Drone Deploy

Kyle Miller, Agricultural Industry Expert
Join Kyle Miller, the agriculture business development team lead at DroneDeploy, as he demos their cloud-based drone data platform that provides automated flight, real-time mapping, data processing and analysis. Kyle is a sixth-generation farmer who grew up on a corn and soybean farm in Iowa and has degrees in computer science and agribusiness. He has been researching remote sensing technology for more than 7 years and creating agriculture drone maps since 2013. He'll be demoing some of the latest real-time mapping features in DroneDeploy.

 

Kansas State University Polytechnic

This demonstration will serve as the Missouri stop for the Drone Uses for Agriculture Roadshow funded by the National Science Foundation’s Midwest Big Data Hub: Digital Agriculture Spoke. Kansas State University Polytechnic will lead a brief discussion on the current and future uses of drones in agriculture, demonstrate the large-area mapping capability of the SenseFly eBee X with the RedEdge-MX, and have surveys available for participants to voice their perspective on drone uses for agriculture. Participants will also receive training materials in the form of a jump drive with example datasets and a workbook.

 

Pix4D

Pix4D will demonstrate live the following in-field tasks:
- In-field multispectral crop analysis
- Aerial scouting based on real-time NDVI
- Ground scouting and annotations
- Time series evaluation
- Zonation and integration with Variable Rate Application Systems

Sentera will demonstrate the latest in remote sensing technology, showing how easy it is to scout a field, collect critical NDVI data and use it in the field, while using Sentera’s precision ag sensors and FieldAgent platform. Sentera is a leading designer and supplier of integrated remote sensing and IoT solutions to the agriculture industry. Taranis

Taranis, a precision agriculture intelligence platform, helps Ag Retailers, input manufacturers and large farms increase their yields and cut costs by giving them a way to effectively monitor their fields, make informed decisions and then act on them. Field Demonstrations

IntelinAir

IntelinAir’s ag-intelligence platform, AgMRI, is built around the premise that growers should spend less time finding issues and more time making strategic decisions. AgMRI allows growers to see which fields are ready to plant and alerts growers when problems arise (emergence issues, weeds, insect infestations, nutritional deficiencies, and disease pressure).  IntelinAir will provide a hands-on demo of AgMRI so users can see how easy it is to get alerted to issues and make decisions during the season.

 

Praxidyn

Praxidyn will be demonstrating the Mixmate chemical blending system. An example blend with jugs, dry and bulk products shows how easy and fast mixing can be for operators in the field or a central mixing plant. The records are automatic for improved accuracy and time savings. Mixmate offers features that are not matched by any other system. ROGO
